Growing up I was always inspired by film and music. Every week I want to write about what has influenced my passion for doing hair and makeup. This week I want to share something I've loved since high school. My mom was a French teacher and always incorporated film into her classes, so as a teenager I got to watch quite a bit of French cinema. One of my favorite movies was Le Parapluies de Cherbourg (The Umbrellas of Cherbourg), starring Catherine Deneuve. In my opinion, Deneuve is one of the most classically beautifully film actors, and she still looks amazing today. Le Parapluies de Cherbourg was filmed and set in the 1960s, which has always been a constant source of inspiration. The colors in the film are so saturated, and Deneuve looks impossibly fresh and innocent. Here are some pictures from the film, I think they speak for themselves.
